Total value of mineral fuel and mineral oil imports in Africa 2017-2020
In 2020, Africa imported around 58 billion U.S. dollars worth of mineral fuels and oils. South Africa was the leading importer of these items, which also included distilled mineral products, bituminous substances, and mineral waxes. Compared to the previous year, the value of mineral fuels and oils imported into the continent decreased. In 2018, a peak of imports of approximately 96 billion U.S. dollars was reached.
