Carbonated soft drinks have historically been the most popular category in the country, and locals have a rather high consumption of this type of beverage. The industry giant Coca-Cola FEMSA is a clear example of this preference: sparkling soft drinks account for over 70 percent of the company’s sales in Mexico. This trend is also clearly visible in consumer behavior as Coca-Cola is incontestably the top beverage brand in the country.
