Volume of distributed drinking water in Indonesia 2011-2021
In 2021, approximately 4.37 billion cubic meters of drinking water were distributed throughout Indonesia. Until today, more than 20 million Indonesians still lack access to an improved water source. One of the major challenges in improving access to clean sanitation in Indonesia is the low awareness of the health risks resulting from poor septic tank management and infrequent tank draining.
