Market share held by web browsers in Sweden 2023

Chrome was the web browser with largest market share in Sweden as of August 2023. Its market share was 51.47 percent that year, while Safari had a market share of nearly 31.41 percent. Worldwide, Chrome was the leading web browser by number of users. It was used by over 3.2 billion individuals in 2021, while the second largest browser in the ranking, Safari, was used by roughly 576 million individuals.

Desktop web browsers

       Chrome led in the ranking of desktop web browsers in January 2021 and had a market share of almost 64 percent. Safari and Edge followed in the ranking with market shares of 16 and roughly 10 percent respectively.

Mobile web browsers

       In contrast, Safari was the leading web browser for mobile devices. Its market share in January 2021 was roughly 51 percent. Chrome’s market share among mobile devices was roughly 38 percent as of that month. Next in the ranking was Samsung Internet with a market share just above nine percent.
