Orange holds a greater share of the Polish mobile market than any other mobile network operator, at 30.48 percent. This translates to roughly 15.28 million mobile subscribers. Aero 2 is the smallest of the listed operators, with a 1.68 percent share of the market.
Android reigns supreme
More phones run on the Android operating system than any other OS, by an astonishing margin. Having held just 8.88 percent of the market in 2010, Android was the operating system running 96.94 percent of polish smartphones as of June 2019. Apples operating system, iOS, runs on 2.64 percent of devices.
Slight contraction in mobile subscriptions
There is no shortage of mobile subscribers in Poland, with the number of mobile subscriptions in the country exceeding the number of inhabitants for the first time in 2007. There were 107.98 mobile subscriptions per 100 inhabitants in that year, and the figure has never fallen below 100 since that time. However, there has been a reduction in the ratio over the two most recent years, falling from 142.52 subscriptions per 100 inhabitants in 2015, to 130.54 subscriptions in 2017.
