As of the final quarter of 2019, the Boston Globe had 148.42 thousand online subscribers in the United States, marking an increase of 37.5 percent compared to the same quarter of the previous year. Meanwhile, the newspaper's print circulation dropped below 100 thousand for the first time in 2019. This is a milestone for the Globe, which as of early 2019 had more digital readers than print customers.
