Export value of weapons from Italy to Turkey 2014-2020
Between 2014 and 2018, the value of weapons manufactured in Italy and exported to Turkey increased constantly. However, following the bombings against the Kurdish population in Syria by the Turkish government in 2019, the Italian Foreign Ministry withdrew from existing agreements to provide weapons to Ankara. As a result, the export value of these items dropped in that year and the next. As of 2020, Italy sold weapons to Turkey for a total value of 34.6 million euros.
