In 2017, the ambient noise levels in the Whitefield area of the Indian city of Bengaluru was over 70 dB(A). It was the highest noise level recorded in all the monitoring stations that year. On the other hand, the Nisarga Bhawan area experienced the lowest noise levels.

dB(A) Leq denotes the time weighted average of the level of sound in decibels on scale A which is relatable to human hearing.
