Social media platforms responses to anti-Muslim hate 2022
According to a report conducted in March 2022, 36 percent of reported anti-Muslim hate posts on TikTok were acted upon by the platform. Overall, 50 posts were reported to TikTok, of which 12 resulted in the removal of posts, and 6 resulted in the removal of accounts. On Facebook, 7 out of 125 reported posts were acted upon, with no accounts being removed after the content was reported. Additionally, YouTube did not act upon any anti-Muslim hate speech that was reported.
