This statistic shows the share of repsondents from selected countries all over the world who think that their country should get UN approval before using military force to deal with international threats, and those who think this approval would make it too difficult for their country to deal with the threat. The survey was conducted in spring 2011. In 2011, 45 percent of respondents in the United States thought their country should get a UN approval before using military force to deal with international threats, while 44 percent thought getting the approval would make it too difficult to deal with the threats.
