Net profit of China Southern Airlines 2011-2021
In 2021, China Southern airlines reported a net loss of about 12.1 billion yuan, an increase of 11.6 percent compared to 2020. The significant net loss for a second consecutive year was caused by the severe disruption of flight operations since the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak in 2020. Multiple countries globally implemented travel restrictions in order to curb the spread of the virus.
