Discrepancy among countries based on health-related indicators 1990-2011
This statistic describes the development of the discrepancy between the world's most-advantaged and least-advantaged countries based on selected health-related indicators in the period 1990-2011. In 1990, the discrepancy in maternal mortality was 914 deaths per 100,000 live births. Thanks to improvements, especially in the least-advantaged countries, this discrepancy stood at 513 deaths in 2011.
