Improvements to self-checkout for optimizing the shopping experience worldwide 2014
This statistic depicts the results of a survey conducted in 2014 among 2,803 consumers in Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States. The survey respondents were asked about their suggestions for improving the overall shopping experience through self-checkout. Some 19 percent of the respondents indicated to see the option of scanning product items with their smartphone throughout the store as a possible improvement.
