This statistic shows the result of an annual survey on the reasons for food wastage in Norway as an average of the responses form 2010 to 2015. With a share of 42 percent of the respondents, the main reason fro throwing away food in Norway was, that the product has expired. A very bad products quality was a good reason for 22 percent of the respondents to waste food. To throw away food due to its damage or spoilage motivated roughly 20 percent of the respondents in Norway.
