Inland water shellfish production volume Japan 2013-2022
In 2022, the inland water shellfish output amounted to approximately eight thousand tons, down from a production volume of around nine thousand tons in the previous year. Only a small part of shellfish catches go back to inland water fishing in Japan. The majority of crustaceans are caught via marine fishing.
