Chronically sick and disabled individuals in Spain in 2020, by age group
In 2020, approximately 554 thousand individuals suffered from a chronic disease and had a recognized degree of disability equal to or greater than 33 percent in Spain. That year, the number of chronically sick and disabled individuals aged between 35 and 64 amounted to over 218 thousand persons, the highest among other age groups. This group of individuals was also the most affected by neuromuscular disability in the country that year.
