Monthly power generation from thermal energy in China 2017-2024
In April 2024, the electricity generated from thermal power in China amounted to nearly 458 terawatt-hours. The output volume has remained relatively stable over the past the years and appeared to peak in August and July, and during the winter months from December to March. The largest thermal energy producing location is the Yangbajain Geothermal Field in the Tibet Autonomous Region with a capacity of 150,000kW.
