Acceptance of vegetarianism or veganism in German society 2017, by age group
Pronova BKK regarding the acceptance of vegetarianism and veganism in German society, roughly 52 percent of respondents aged between 50 and 59 years stated that, in their opinion, acceptance of meat-free or plant-based lifestyles was either very high or relatively high. Younger respondents thought that the acceptance rate was even higher, with 64 percent of those aged between 18 and 39 years stating that vegetarianism and veganism were highly accepted in Germany.
