Production of groundnuts in South Africa 2000-2020
In 2019/2020, the preliminary production of groundnuts in South Africa amounted to 62 thousand metric tons. This represents approximately an increase of 181.8 percent compared to the previous year. Between 2000 and 2019, the comprehensive trend shows an overall decline of around 72.1 percent. The largest drop can be observed between 2000/2001 and 2002/2003, when the production fell from 222 thousand to 67 thousand metric tons.
