Russian gas supply cut impact on GDP in Germany 2022-2027
If Russia stopped supplying natural gas via pipelines to Europe, Germany's projected growth of gross domestic product (GDP) for 2022 would be lowered by 1.5 percent from the baseline. That figure takes into account protection of households and energy transformation. The most significant impact would be seen in 2023, at 2.7 percent below the baseline.
