According to a 2022 survey, the prevalence of mental illness among LGB (lesbian, gay, bisexual) adults in the United States was highest for individuals aged 18 to 25. In the year preceding the study, around 64 percent of LGB individuals from this age group had experienced some form of mental illness, while nearly 28.4 percent suffered from serious mental illness.
