As of 2022, American adults who identified as bisexual, lesbian, or gay were more prone to experience any mental illness than heterosexual individuals. During the year prior to the survey, roughly 60 percent of bisexual adults in the U.S. reported suffering from any mental illness, the largest share relative to other groups.
