At the point when this data was collected, the German shale gas reserves were estimated at around 200 billion cubic meters, the lowest value of the ten countries recorded here. Both Poland and France had shale gas reserves that were greater than five trillion cubic meters, which was more than double the amount recorded in Norway, the country with the third largest shale gas reserves.
