Share of vegans by age group in Germany 2021

In 2019, about five percent of responding 20 to 29 year old respondents in Germany stated that they follow vegan nutrition rules. This means that they are not eating any meat or any food that contains animal products. This very restrictive diet is rare and only three percent of all respondents in Germany followed it. Among older respondents it is less widespread than among younger respondents.
