Demand is particularly high in the canton of Ticino, which is amongst the worst hit, with approximately 470 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, nearly thrice the national rate.

Roche develops new serology test

Roche has announced the development of a new serology test to help identify people who have been infected by Covid-19 virus. It aims to have the test available in countries accepting the CE mark by early May. Moreover, the firm is also working collaboratively with the FDA on a clinical trial to see if certain drugs can work as a treatment for patients hospitalized with severe COVID-19 pneumonia.
