UK consumers familiar with e-reading device brands or products 2017
Kindle tops the list of the most popular e-reading devices amongst UK consumers. More than 75% of respondents are familiar with Amazon’s e-reader, according to the Survey Data Table for the Statista survey on e-books in the United Kingdom 2017.
Designed by retail giant Amazon back in 2007, there are different models of Kindle currently available in the market. Each one of them comes with a distinct set of features and when it comes to the UK, it has enjoyed unparalleled success over the years. More than 11 million people used Amazon Kindle in Great Britain in 2017 which is way higher than any of its competitors including Kobo and Sony.
This data also shows that almost every respondent was familiar with an e-reader brand as only 7% of respondents stated that they weren’t familiar with a single e-reading device.
