Number of weekly hours spent reading by UK consumers

About one tenth of UK readers spends more than 15 hours per week reading. This is according to the Survey Data table for the Statista survey on e-books in the United Kingdom 2017 which shows that every single respondent reads something on a weekly basis.

When it comes to reading material or devices, there can be many choices. The two most common ones are e-books and physical paper books. Choosing any one of them can be tricky at times but the UK public is clear in this regard as more than 35% of the readers prefer to read from a physical book.

Having said that, the future looks bright for the electronic books. Many book readers in the UK stated that in their view, mostly electronic books will be read within 10 years from now.
