Card misuse for POS and CNP transactions in the U.S. 2010-2017 This statistic presents the proportion of consumers in the United States who had a card misused for point of sale (POS) or card not present (CNP) transactions from 2010 to 2017. In 2017, 2.10 percent of consumers had their card misused at a point of sale, while 3.80 percent had one misused in a CNP transaction, such as an online purchase.
