Leading items girls buy when spending their own pocket money in the Netherlands 2018
The statistic displays the results of a survey concerning the spending habits of boys who spend their own pocket money in the Netherlands in 2018, by type of purchase. The survey results suggest that as of 2018, boys over the age of five, who were allowed to spend their pocket money as they wanted, were more inclined to spend their pocket money on Lego, Playmobil and Transformer toys. Over 45 percent of boys included in the survey spent their pocket money on these types of toys, while roughly one quarter of boys surveyed purchased sweets and snacks.
