Share of recycled-non bottle rigid plastic in the U.S. 2020, by source
In 2020, 1,057.4 million pounds of U.S. sourced post-consumer non-bottle rigid plastic were reported as recovered for recycling. Non-bottle rigid plastic segregated by resin from commercial source separated/collection accounted for 65 percent of the overall total. Meanwhile, electric scrap made up less than four percent of U.S. sourced post-consumer non-bottle rigid plastic recovered for recycling.
