In 2021, Ecopetrol's crude oil production amounted to approximately 486,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d), a six percent decrease in comparison to the previous year. Heavy crude oil remained the main type at 313,000 boe/d compared to medium and light at 138,300 boe/d and 34,300 boe/d, respectively.
