In 2022, approximately 5.3 million international overnight travelers departed from Mexico using air transport, while roughly 4.8 million more exited the country by land. These figures continue the reverse in the trend observed from 2016 to 2019 when ground transport was the most popular way to travel outside the Latin American country.
