This statistic displays the share of main reasons for nurses and midwifes to leave the Nursing and Midwifery Council register in the UK in 2021. According to the results, 51.6 percent of respondents left the register in 2021 because they were retiring. During that year, roughly 23 percent cited too much pressure as one of the main reasons for leaving.
