Household power price composition in Germany 2021
In 2021, around 50 percent of the household electricity bill in Germany was for acquisition and sales or for grid expenses. Renewable surcharge made up for around 20 percent of the final power cost for German consumers. The renewables surcharge is used to help support Germany's transition to renewable power sources.
