Italy: revenue of waste management companies 2021

The net revenue of companies active in the waste management sector in Italy slightly increased over the years. In 2021, it amounted to 1,385 million euros. That year, Siriam S.p.A. was the leading waste management company in the country, with a revenue of approximately 758 million euros.

* Companies with significant (statutory) turnover, a degree of specialization in the sector greater than or equal to 50 percent of the total turnover, and active in all the financial years considered have been taken into account for the calculation. The calculation also takes into account the balance of power between companies. Companies with a too high turnover were discarded, so that their balance sheet structure does not excessively influence the average sector indicators.
