This statistic shows the results of a survey on consumer awareness of biodiversity conducted in China in 2013 and 2019. During the survey period in 2019, around 95 percent of respondents in China said they have heard of biodiversity and 85 percent chose the correct definition of the term.

Here is a number of possible descriptions of biodiversity. For each of them, could you please indicate whether you completely agree with it, rather agree, rather disagree or completely disagree?
Correct definition: biodiversity is the diversity of plants and animals.

To correct sampling disparities, a post-stratification weighting of results, based on socio-demographic variables, was applied.
