The average purchase size is calculated on the basis of the online Romir Scan Panel of 15,000 households containing information about purchases of 40,000 Russians in 220 cities with a population of over 10,000 people reflecting the customer and consumer behavior of inhabitants of Russian cities. The participants scan barcodes of all purchased goods that were brought home. The scanning data go to an online scan panel database.
