Number of foreign visitors to ticketed monuments India FY 2022
As an increasingly popular destination for foreigners over the years, India's most visited region was what is called the "Golden Triangle", especially among first-time tourists to the country. It includes the capital city of Delhi, the home of the Taj Mahal, Agra, and Jaipur, the pink city. Surprisingly, Group of monuments, Mamallapuram in the state of Tamil Nadu was the most visited monument with over 144 thousand foreign tourists in the country in financial year 2022.
