The survey results suggest that as of 2019, the majority of people in the Netherlands thought that the extent of EU control over the budgets of its member states should either remain unchanged or decrease. Close to 30 percent of respondents indicated that they felt the European Union should have less of a say when it comes to state budgets, while roughly 40 percent thought the current situation should be maintained in future.
