The National Museum of Singapore welcomed around one million visitors in 2023, a significant increase compared to the previous two years. The National Museum of Singapore, founded in 1849, is the oldest museum, and one of four national museums in the country, with a focus on the history of Singapore. The National Museum was closed from April to June 2020 due to COVID-19 measures, and the number of visitors is gradually recovering.
