In 2021, the electricity consumption of Companhia Brasileira de Metalurgia e Mineração (CBMM) amounted to approximately 1.35 petajoules. That year, the company's energy consumption from renewable sources (charcoal and biodiesel) reached 382.7 terajoules, while that from non-renewable sources stood at 523.5 terajoules. CBMM, a Brazilian mining company headquarted in Araxá, Minas Gerais, is the world's largest niobium producer.
