Number of housing construction starts in London boroughs FY 2023, by tenure
Newham and Greenwich were the boroughs in London with the highest number of new housing construction starts in 2022/2023. Most of those dwellings were being developed by the private sector. That year, there were no construction starts in the City of London, while there were only 20 housing starts in Sutton. The figures for some of the boroughs were imputed, which means that those values were missing and were replaced with other data.
