E-commerce sales share in Russia and Europe in 2018, by category

In 2018, the largest volume of online sales relative to total retail sales was generated by the clothing industry both in Russia and Europe. Beauty products and appliances and electronics made it in the top three in Russia. In Europe, books and footwear e-commerce ranked second and third with a share of approximately 16 and 15 percent, respectively.
