Flat steel production in Malaysia 2017-2018

A volume of more than 1.56 million metric tons of flat steel was estimated to be produced in Malaysia in the first half of the year 2018. Due to market uncertainties, it is expected that the construction sector in Malaysia will decline in the near future and therefore the demand for any steel will also decrease.
