In 2022, the number of kidney transplants amounted to 5,306 procedures in Brazil, making it the most transplanted organ in the country. Moreover, with around 13,979 interventions, the cornea was the most transplanted tissue in the South American country, whereas the number of effective organ donors totaled 3,528 people during that year.
