Changes renters needed to make to afford rent in the U.S. 2019, by home type

In April 2019, 49 percent of single-family renters had to move to afford their rent in the United States, whereas only 39 percent of multi-family renters had to do the same. The spending behavior of both groups was also impacted by rent affordability.
