Cigarette smoking status of Russians in 2018, by area
The smoking status of Russians living in urban and rural areas did not significantly differ in 2018. In both areas, the majority of the population never smoked. The share of daily smokers in the country's cities amounted to 22 percent. In the countryside, this figure was only 0.5 percent higher.
