Future housing plans of Baby Boomer renters in the U.S. 2016-2019

In April 2019, 66 percent of Baby Boomer renters said they planned to continue renting in the United States and the only 34 percent said they planned to purchase a home. In August 2018, 76 percent planned to buy a home in the near future, so the trend towards homeownership has fallen slightly in this age group.
