In April 2019, 86 percent of male renters who were planning to buy a home in the next two years were confident in their knowledge in how to build their credit, whereas only 74 percent said the same about their interest rate knowledge. However, only 56 percent of female renters who were planning to purchase a home in the next two years were confident in their interest rate knowledge and 67 percent were confident they knew how to avoid lending scams.
