According to the survey among Hong Kong residents in November 2018, 65 percent of respondents stated that accelerating the use of renewable energy sources was the most needed improvements for energy and resources management in Hong Kong. As noted in Hong Kong's Smart City Blueprint, a smart city should be built on the needs of the people, with benefits that can be experienced by the residents and visitors.
